Terms of Service
- Article 1 (Scope) These Terms govern all matters relating to the use of software provided by Skoful Inc. (the “Company”).
- Article 2 (Assent) Users are deemed to have agreed to these Terms upon using the software.
- Article 3 (Licence) The Company grants users a non-transferable, non-exclusive right to use the software for personal purposes. The software is licensed, not sold; all rights remain with the Company.
- Article 4 (Prohibited acts) Users shall not copy, modify, decompile, disassemble or redistribute the software, or otherwise act beyond what applicable law permits.
- Article 5 (Disclaimer) The Company does not warrant that the software is fit for any particular purpose, produces any expected result, or is free of defects. To the extent permitted by law, the Company’s liability is limited to the greater of the amount paid to the Company in the preceding twelve months or JPY 1,000.
- Article 6 (Amendment) The Company may amend these Terms where it deems necessary. Amended Terms take effect upon publication on this website.
- Article 7 (Governing law and jurisdiction) These Terms are governed by the laws of Japan. The Tokyo District Court shall have exclusive jurisdiction of the first instance over any dispute.
Privacy Policy
Basic Policy on the Handling of Personal Information
The Company establishes, publishes and observes the following basic policy on the handling of personal information.
- We keep abreast of applicable laws and guidelines, and comply with them.
- We collect the minimum information necessary and do not use it beyond the stated purposes.
- Except where required by law, we do not provide it to third parties without the consent of the individual.
- We take the security measures necessary to prevent unauthorised access, leakage, loss or damage.
Personal Information Protection Rules
- Article 1 (Scope) This Policy applies to the handling of personal information in the software provided by the Company and on this website.
- Article 2 (Information collected) The Company collects only the following.(i)Information required to verify licence validity(ii)Fault reports voluntarily submitted by users(iii)Access records for this website and the Company’s servers (IP address, user agent and the like)The Company does not collect content created or viewed by users within the software.
- Article 3 (Purpose of use) The information above is used only for the following purposes.(i)Provision and maintenance of the software(ii)Identification and correction of defects(iii)Response to enquiries(iv)Prevention of unauthorised use
- Article 4 (Provision to third parties) Except as required by law, the Company does not provide personal information to third parties without the prior consent of the individual.
- Article 5 (External services) Distribution of the software and collection of payment are carried out by Apple Inc., Google LLC and other platform operators. Purchase information does not pass through the Company and is handled under each operator’s privacy policy.
- Article 6 (Security measures) The Company takes necessary and appropriate measures to prevent the leakage, loss or damage of personal information.
- Article 7 (Retained personal data) The Company does not collect information capable of identifying a specific individual and holds no retained personal data within the meaning of the Act on the Protection of Personal Information. Accordingly, there is no data subject to a request for disclosure.
- Article 8 (Revision) The Company may revise this Policy to the extent consistent with applicable law. A revised Policy takes effect upon publication on this website.
